I’m very confused by the portion of fans upset that he doesn’t want to promote more? I keep seeing this convo go around and I get he has had stuff turned down and has at one point or another mentioned wanting to do this or that but I feel like theirs a lot of stuff that’s happened throughout his career especially in recent years that make it very easy to understand why he’d want to dial back a bit.
The thing I find odd is the weird sense of betrayal some fans are feeling about his words. I think if anything he said was a surprise to you, then you haven’t been paying attention much to what he’s been saying, because he’s always been completely transparent. I think after 10 years working nonstop in a career he chose to pursue at such a young age, I think anyone would want to take a step off the breaks and focus on what they find more important to them. For Haechan, it was simply the music. He’s constantly promoting and making appearances when he’s with his respective units, so perhaps now he wants to take the time to focus on his own interests. If his own interests means not having anything related to variety shows, then so be it. He’s an artist and as an artist HE is the one who decides how he wants to express himself.
I think many fans that are truly upset have become too emotionally invested into his career endeavors that they see him choosing to avoid any kind of major promotion like variety shows as some sort of loss in investment. But he’s not some toy that you get to choose what he should or shouldn’t do, and I think fans need to wake up to that reality and actually start paying attention to him.

see for me I just think people should tag their shit. like I don’t think it’s that hard or that big of a deal for someone to just let the reader know what they’re getting into. If I want to read a fic but they don’t tag what the top and bottom are then I don’t want to have to skim through and see first.
Yeah and that’s fine, It’s always a plus if writers tag their t/b stuff if you have like a preference or whatever but if they don’t then idrc…I’ll just not read it anymore. I think all this talk about it being a “waste of time” for readers to be kind of complainy, it’s not that big of a deal.

imo I’d always tag my fics with the tp and bttm preferences because I know I’d be bummed if I read a fic that didn’t tag that detail
Don’t get me wrong I do get it, but I don’t think it’s something I’d say would make me upset if the writer didn’t have that tagged. Like especially if it’s a fic that isn’t just smut and there’s actually more to the story itself. So my opinion on the matter is that it’s great if they do tag it, but I’m not gonna lose my mind about it if they don’t. I’ll either just skip the smut itself or click off, simple fix.

I just started following you today so idk if this is something youve talked about before but is azul your real name??? and if it do you pronounce it the same as you would in spanish??
wow sorry this took two weeks to respond to but yes!!! Azul is the name given to me at birth. I do get asked this occasionally since it is admittedly an odd name but yes it’s pronounced how you would in spanish, though I have friends who pronounce it the same like Azula without the a at the end, which I also consider a correct pronunciation.
