Kenji over here. I finally got used to this internet and phone thing. I just realized I forgot to give Master Ryu a gift and honestly, Iāve been asking everyone around the village for ideas. He really likes fishing but itād be ridiculous to give him a fishing pole. Should I just stick with sake instead or is there anything else? Master Ryu just doesnāt seem to be a materialistic guy you know.

Has playing Nioh helped you develop your OC Touma? If so, how? If not, how then? I love learning the BTS stuff.
it has a little bit, mostly in terms of how he'd fight and with what weapons. the protagonist is mute so there's no characterization to really be found there lol. it's also fun to have a visual of what he looks like in a more realistic style.
there's a couple of weapons that i like using in nioh that apply to touma:
fists: i already knew i wanted touma to be a deadly martial artist before nioh, but seeing him punch the shit out of demons cemented it for me lol. he wouldn't be a super speedy fighter like in game though, realistically he's more calculated and precise with strong individual blows/grapples and such
splitstaff: i like the idea of him practicing with it as part of his martial arts training. more of the normal staff variety though (lunar), not the separating kind
odachi: big weapon for a big man. i just think it'd be funny if touma practiced with it in his spare time, not as a super practical weapon for him to use out on the field (he's a ninja after all) but for his own self-improvement.

have you seen any gameplay footage for Phantom Blade Zero? the game has changed a lot from over a year ago
the stamina recovery is giving me Nioh vibes and i thought you might be interested!
i saw the trailer footage during TGA. honestly it wasn't piquing my interest that much. nioh has a hold on me cause of the ties it has to NG/DOA and the way its combat works, idk i always feel like these other games focus too much on parrying or have too many overwhelming options. the aesthetic isnt appealing to me either. maybe i can check it out later in the year when reviews come out (and if nioh 3 isn't still taking over my life)

Between Touma and Ryu who would pass the bird theory most with flying colours?
i had to look up what 'bird theory' was, but touma is gonna be the winner here. ryu isn't failing by any means, he's still a very kind and attentive person, but touma is a lot more expressive and reactive. and if we're talking about literally mentioning a bird, touma is very into birdwatching so he'd be genuinely interested ā¤ļø

You have a very nice writing style. How long have you been writing and what inspired you to start?
thank you ! the whole reason i started writing was so that i could develop my oc x canon ship (šš§ø) and get my thoughts about them out on paper. i was previously resorting to using LLMs and chatbots for that sort of thing and wanted to break away from it after realizing how detrimental it was to myself and others. i'm much happier using my own brain now lol. i started writing february this year, so i'm still really new to all of this.
