Can i eat the kid's hands? Or their faces?
do have have a paring of kids you've made you like a lot? (like fumiko and zelda jr)
makoto fukuzawa and akiyuki kajii are by far one of my favorite fankid ships i've ever made, i adore them and can't wait to actually write about their story in the main bungou stray pups series
junichi fukuzawa and takeshi oda are also one of my favorites, they feature in "the hateful eight", and the chapter i'm currently working on features the two of them together also! here's an excerpt from their intro chapter:
*And (with the amount of anxiety and awkwardness the two boys have, they may never get around to saying this, but that does not make it any less true) as they've gotten older, the two have found their old childhood dynamic of 'friends' slowly inching closer and closer to romance. Which, of course, their parents have been able to see over the past few months, but they have yet to notice.
"Sorry, sorry," Junichi finally says, huffing at the stovetop as he fans away the little bit of smoke rising from it from where the broth from his ramen spilled over the edge of the pot in his haste, splashing onto the still-hot element. "I'm sorry, I was- I wasn't paying attention at all, really."
"I could tell, that's why I said something," Takeshi giggles, half-closing his cerulean eyes. While he's already definitely growing into the handsome face shape of his father, Sakunosuke, Takeshi definitely looks more like his other parent, Ango, when it comes to his eyes, slightly more green than they are blue. "It's okay, man. I know you've got a lot on your mind."
Junichi shuffles his feet a bit, turning his eyes away from his friend's face and back towards the now no longer boiling pot on the stove.*
hi cio ^^ do you have kids you enjoy writing the most, or just one you like getting in the head space to write?
oh you bet i do!! i'll limit it to the ones i've got published fics up for because some i've only written thus far in excerpts or in roleplays
one in particular is shuusaku dazai! his introduction chapter in "the hateful eight" is one of my favorite early chapters alongside his twin sister's (fumiko)! here's a little excerpt from it:
"Alright, I suppose if you won't talk to me of your own free will, I'll just have to make a bet with all of you, won't I?"
Shuusaku sighs, lifting his arms and tucking his hands behind his head. The metal coin in his hand — a foreign one, notably not Japanese, but not a normal foreign coin either, as it is heavy and gold and has a woman set in the front of it with a baby on her back wrapped in a cloth — presses reassuringly against the back of his head as he does.
When he looks back at the others, his eyes grow cold, though his voice remains high and upbeat.
"Just promise me you won't cry to whoever's paying for your Jordans about how much it sucks to lose when you inevitably do, okay? It's really a huuuuge buzzkill when I spend all this time and energy being nice enough to explain myself to the enemy, only to find out hours later I wasted my time. If you can't promise me that, I might just haf'ta kill you all… just like you were planning to do to me when I walked in here. Right?"
there are others, including makoto & hyakken fukuzawa, takeshi oda, and murasaki nakajima-akutagawa, but honestly i love writing for all of the hateful eight (murasaki & nobunori, yoshiko kunikida, conan edogawa poe, fumiko & shuusaku dazai, junichi fukuzawa, and takeshi oda). it's most fun to get into the headspace to write shuusaku tho because he's just so strange and offputting
