aww thank you! this is an older read but personally love the lesser bohemians. i think it captures the things that i love most about fanfic, while also having this incredible stream of conscious style of prose. anything angela carter is always a perfect choice. the bloody chambers is a good introduction to her as well and is just a collection of short stories. i think this is possibly a rec that ppl either love or don’t but the past by tessa hadley should maybe be boring, but not only has a gorgeous prose but has these little glimmering moments of real humanity that i found incredibly moving. other trusted recs have been elena ferrante’s neopolitan series, our wives under the sea by julia armfield, jazz by toni morrison, which has one of the most beautiful book openings to me and feels so alive! ok, i think those are the main ones just off the top of my head. hope you enjoy!
