what are your favorite games, gameplay-wise? what do you like about em?
fate/hollow ataraxia - wait no come back. i like how it's a visual novel that really treats the various slice-of-life scenes you can pick and choose at your leisure as all contributing to the overall experience at every 'checkpoint' that unlocks the next set of main story scenes and more slice-of-life content. just structurally a very strong method of conveying character and it fits incredibly thematically with fate overall and what the game specifically is going for.
voices of the void - building the muscle memory on how to keep all of the old as fuck soviet-era systems for a bunch of satellites in the swiss alps going hits so fucking good. moving around and the physicality of the spaces is also really really cool. i also think the different ways the horror can affect your screen and UI and the Game Itself is immensely strong. just feels good to play.
pathologic 2 - feels bad to play, which is basically exactly what it is going for. p3 is going for a lot more of an 'actual playable and not-frustrating' experience which is like, better for the game overall, but you really do feel misery and how it hits when you die and fuck up in pathologic 2 where the amalgam of pathologic 3 really just means you can shoot yourself in the head like a dozen times before it actually has consequences.
dead space - the first one. the original not the remake. the stomp one of the greatest actions you can perform in a video game ever. it's so fucking good.
beyond citadel - probably my favorite shooter ever. just one that feels incredibly intentional to move and flow and shoot through. i don't love 'movement shooters' or the score-chasing stuff like ultrakill so i like that alongside getting wall-running and triple jumps and other weird movement stuff the game rarely wants you to platform and all of the motion is just in service of making the moment-to-moment gunplay more interesting. and it already: fucking rules. it's so good to have to unload a clip and try and avoid enemies until you can unjam a gun and reload and start blasting again playing on higher difficulties is so fucking cool.
how do you feel about madiha seeing the light of sisters yuri
whats the tastiest thing youve eaten recently
favorite kind of sandwich?
what extra class would you summon in a grail war
Honestly, Voyager sings to me. And you may be asking: Kim, there's only one servant in the Voyager class, and it hardly even counts, since Voyager is a weird unique guy in Fate/requiem, and it would fit the question better if you said you would summon a Foreigner class creature because that's what Voyager gets assigned in F/GO.
But I want to summon little floating baby..... I think he's so awesome... His dynamic in requiem with Erice as an extremely competent and combat-capable Master while he just a baby that has to be protected is really good, I like it a lot. So that's my pick. Second choice is Avenger and crossing my fingers for Salieri and getting Ishtar probably.
if you had a pet tsuchinoko what would you name it
Have you read any Tamora Pierce?
I wanna be better friends with you but I feel like the only way I know how to socialize is play viddygames (and for some reason I feel that's insufficient), if you wanted to be better friends with yourself what kind of activities would you do?
that's interesting because i feel like video games are one of the weakest (with some exceptions*). most video games i tend to focus in on an objective and just devote enough of my brainpower to it i feel im at a bit less than my socializing best. idk i like yapping in general. about stuff read or seen or just a funny post. i am not that picky i think. i really don't know what the answer to this is because i can't really think of a way of socializing a friend would ask i would out of hand say no too. i just love talking with people dear to me.
*vrchat being mostly directionless spaces that you wander through at your own pace makes it extremely good hanging material in a very charming way.
what is the appeal of the female husband?
what other kind of husband is there
in seriousness, though: ive always been fond of butch as an identifier and it clicks well alongside the idea of a female husband to me. its just nice to do things for a beautiful dame. if she appreciates it and it makes me feel good what else is there that matters. there's oft been yapping about weirdness around masculinity and gender roles in regards to butchfemme but i think being handsome and knightly and noble is simply reinforcing the type of girl i am (handsome, knightly, noble, etc). anyway female husband is my current job description. female wives out there, hello,
also as hit webnovella emptiness effigied put it so beautifully people overestimate mens worth and underestimate their incompatibility with the role of husband already.
what are your favorite power dynamics to see in yuri (toxic or otherwise)
age gap... i just love older women so So so much. and i wish to see dames similar to me (younger, top, blonde) cherish beautiful older women as well. it is like a drug. into my veins and such. the good stuff.
i also think there is something truly beautiful and moving in utterly selfish love. so many yuri paint like, a married woman that a single woman is pursuing in a good light by making her husband a shithead who sucks but; when the husband is like, nice, or fine, or is perfectly pleasant and has done nothing wrong. and yet women swag wins out regardless. that's something truly special. dames can do anything.
