Why do you need my email for the IC? I’m not comfortable providing it.
Hi there! Thanks for reaching out and sharing your concern with us.
For most forms, we find that individuals would like to have a copy of it sent to their email. Regardless of why they would like a copy, we like to offer one if it is so desired. Emails are not being attributed to any of the values collected from the interest check.
That being said, Google Forms has 2 settings for email collection. "User Input" allows for the person filling out the form to use any "email address" they'd like, including ones that aren't real. For instance, using something like "email@email.com" is considered a valid entry and will allow you to fill out the form as normal without revealing your personal email!
Hello! I was checking out the mod's experience in previous projects and noticed Jay's second link (https://cyberpunkbkdkbk.carrd.co/) doesn't lead to anything!
As a potential buyer, I'm wary of the lack of experience both mods have for shipping and financing.
Heya's linktree doesn't have any area for previous experience and the project's carrd only lists a single project as a shipping mod that isn't currently completed nor entered the shipping phase.
Jay only has two projects as a financing mod.
Project #1 is still listed as "creation phase" and as a digital project I'm not sure how financing come into play besides submitting the donation at the end of project. Project #2 is the Hue project! Again, POs are just ended here soon and that leaves the financing mod with no completed projects to prove their credentials and for a buyer to have faith.A two mod team isn't unheard of, especially for a more focused project like a merch box. Maybe having more experienced mods through applications is something you are planning in the future; I wouldn't be privvy to that knowledge! BUT It seems that might not be the case with the two of you seemingly covering all the mod position between the two of you.
Just something of a flag I've noticed as a potential buyer of this merch box and wanted to voice my concerns :)
Hi there! First, thank you for reaching out about your concern for the project and informing us that there are incorrect links on the Carrd. The link has been fixed, and we'd like to address your initial point.
We would like to start by saying that you are entirely right to be concerned regarding the mod's inexperience, especially with the current state of projects that are currently in an unsure state due to similar issues.
Currently, Heya has more experience in personal projects with different types of merch, one of which being a merch box focused on an MHA ship (DabiHawks), and this will be the second year that they are offering the boxes for public purchase available on their Ko-fi and Etsy. They also have experience grading and shipping their own merch for said project and others. Jay had been seeking their and other, more experienced moderators' advice concerning finances and production. We are also wary, and while we would not be against a more experienced moderator joining us, we would also be putting faith in an individual we potentially aren't well acquainted with.
We understand that while this isn't exactly reassuring, we wanted to address the very valid concern of the lack of experience and how we view it within the project. Thank you again for your question, and we appreciate your interest in the project regardless!
Hello! I'm very excited for this project :D (Literally wearing a bakugo shirt rn as I found this project on Discord)
I was just checking out the carrd and I think there may be a typo with one of the questions/answers!
"Do applicants have to have prior experience creating merch?. No, creator is required to have experience creating merch prior to this project! We do ask that every applicant read the guidelines carefully to ensure they are submitting pieces that adhere to the rules posted here and on our application form."
"No, creator is required" I think it's meant to say "No, creator is /not/ required"
Just so folks don't get confused if/when they apply!
(Feel free not to post this, I just wanted to let the team know)
Hi there! Thanks for letting us know - we've fixed this to say "No, creators will not be required to have experience creating merch prior to this project!" We really appreciate the heads up!
