Hey! Is it possible to only choose two prompts? It’s fine if i don’t get either, but i really can’t pick a third one i’d like to write. :(
Hi! Yes just put N/A in the third prompt spot when you fill out the prompt claiming form.

What happens to the prompts if they don’t get chosen? I know some fests save them for the next fest, or some give a clean slate so you can reclaim the prompts you submitted. Was just curious! :)
Hi! Great question :) We plan to allow writers to claim prompts and post during out off season. Any prompts that don't get picked up will become legacy prompts, which will be available to be claimed in round two of rare pair fest!

I'm so late here I wasn't here for the first check in and the second one is three weeks away... And I have a few questions, is it ok to write the three (or two) at the same time? (How'd we know if anyone else isn't working on the same one) I claimed a prompt and the sheet is to be yet updated, what if in the mean time someone else claims it to and we both work on the same thing, is that ok?
Hi! The prompt will only be assigned to one person, and whoever submitted their claim first will be sent the confirmation for that prompt. Only one prompt is able to be claimed at a time. However, once you finish your firrst prompt you can claim a second prompt!

Hello! New writer here! I just claimed three prompts & filled out the form. Now do I wait for the confirmation or just start writing it?
Hi! You are only able to claim one prompt at a time, so we will send you a confirmation with whatever prompt is available, starting with the prompt you put in the "first choice" slot. Once you have completed that fic and submitted it to the collection, you can claim another prompt. But yes, we will e-mail you confirmation! Mod just got home but any new claims should be sent out within the hour.

Is there a deadline for when I can claim a second prompt once I have submitted my first? Thank you!
Hi! The prompt claiming form will be closed on the 20th of December, however if you finish your current prompt and wish to claim another one after Dec 20th, you can DM the mods and we will send you the stuff!

Hi! Yes prompting is still open! It will close on the second check in date in December, but everyone is welcome to claim prompts until then! And second prompts too, once your first fic is submitted!

Do you mind telling us how many prompts were claimed?? I'm just so excited to see how many fics we are going to get
Hi! We don't mind sharing at all! As of right now, and assuming all the prompts are turned in as completed fics and none are dropped, we have 83 prompts claimed and 27 self-prompts submitted! We have also had some amazing writers ask to claim a second prompt!! So best case scenario we are looking at 112 potential fics, maybe a few more. The mods are sooooooo excited and appreciative of everyone who is participating <3333333
