Why’s it called belllocke?
Locke is the name of the horse Micah helps her steal in ch4, after he gets frustrated with her sneaking out with Baylock w/o asking a few times (who’s bonded to her only because she’d ridden on his hind so many times). Locke is later shot and killed by Micah to strand her and drag her to Hagen, so like, when her part of the pairing name is killed off, is when she loses her agency in the relationship and shit gets real. For the time being. I thought it was a little poetic.
Horse stuff. She had another one but lost it in the Blackwater massacre. It didn’t die, but she was wounded and Micah put her on Baylock for the escape. Never got to go back for it, so she relied on getting rides, mostly from Micah, until he helped her obtain Locke whenever she wanted to leave camp.
