Ehh he doesn't NOT hurt her at times, there's a whole comic WIP I have posted up a while ago where he backhands her for drinking and the consent in the sex they have afterwards is kinda dubious. He doesn't beat her outside of impact play (that she asks for, mind you), but idk maybe there's theoretical situations where he would..? He doesn't though, in BLe canon.

(In terms of Micah's patience/brutality specifically) he's REALLY lenient with her. Like shockingly to those around them- where he'd just shoot another woman for backtalking (which she does A LOT), he just rolls his eyes and does a little verbal belittling / writing off to make it clear he's not going to listen, especially because he knows she usually just gives up quick after he does this. He doesn't like the idea of harming her specifically, but again I think theoretically there's things she coulddd do that would drive him to do so?? Idrk, it'd have to be really bad, like something that targets an insecurity / paranoia, like her getting caught cheating on him or something.

The biggest thing that's for sure, completely off the table for him is that he wouldn't violently rape her (there is statutory rape and dubcon scenarios that happen, but nothing that would have her sobbing and begging him to stop). My Micah doesn't have a very high sex drive and gets his energy out moreso through violence in scores and causing chaos outside of camp, and he just doesn't have biastophilia despite otherwise being a huge sadist (bc I hate the idea that just cos a villain is into a lot of evil shit, they have to be into every evil thing ever, just not as interesting to me). Thing that just doesn't get him off and takes more energy than he's willing to give.

But okay, all that aside lol, he DID threaten to kill her if she left. He doesn't actually mean it, but by the time Jenny realizes just how lenient he is with her / how much she gets away with and that he probably wouldn't actually do that, she's become pretty committed to him and the gang (he DOES try to kill her, but it's because she tried to kill him first; it's a very "only person I really trusted tried to MURDER me, confirmation bias to my major paranoia issues" ordeal).
Not that she isn't miserable there, but like. Stockholm syndrome sort of deal ig. Plus, in the very beginning, she's pretty catatonic and focused on just taking care of her kids. Trying to slip out with 2 babies surrounded by a bunch of violent men she doesn't yet know is not an easy task. She doesn't even have a horse, he JUST killed Locke to trap her.

She also deeply cares for many of the goons atp. While Micah barely knows most of them at all and makes them her responsibility, she ends up finding a sort of family out of them. It's the deaths of all the ones she loves most (the last being her BEST friend from around the very beginning) that causes her to finally snap and attack Micah. Until then, she wanted to stay for them, too.
