She likes people who are more forward, but not in a forceful / hands-on or verbally berating way (like an annoying, overconfident escortee could be).
She herself has a hard time attaching to people and she doesn't often approach either without reason, so the other person coming to her over and over- without being overly smothering too -to try and form a connection would be the best bet.. kind of what happened with her and Micah for example, and I feel like explaining their early relationship might help break this down easier so I'm gonna ramble about that a bit lol.

She was pretty freshly traumatized and most of the interactions in the VDL gang when they first joined felt very forced and awkward with people taking pity on her. People giving up on trying to talk to her at first because she wasn't so responsive so instead becoming avoidant and hoping she'll get through whatever it is she's working through and eventually come out of her shell on her own time (most of the gang eventually bond to her to some extent though! just mean at first.. not so much)

Except for Micah, who was pretty persistent but not overbearing.. instead of focusing on how she got there or trying to dig into her too much (bc he didn't really care, truly), he'd brag about himself / his plans (like his idea to target the Blackwater ferry) and things he was up to, or he'd talk about the other gang members (even in a mocking / teasing / gossipy way), stuff that didn't really have to make her think of her own predicament and stuff that made him come off very openly and shamelessly himself and thus in a sense, predictable in a lot of ways, and that helped her bond to him and actually have something to say back for once, and subsequently, her always willing to listen to him made him bond to her back very easily.

He's also funny to her, he can take teasing and that's her kind of humor. Not everyone is great with that.

She's not very attracted to men who come off skittish or anxious to talk to her either.. she doesn't exactly like to feel like she's being chased after in a fantastical love story or fawned over like a prized jewel (ig the opposite of Molly? to some extent, who very much saw this thing with Dutch as this great adventure and love story and that.. was not realistic, aha).

She likes, again, moreso people like Micah who are just kind of blunt or at least still obvious about their intentions even if they're not exactly trying to be lol. The predictability of "oh he just wants to get in my pants.. but he's kind of charming about it. He's cute when he's trying to be convincingly romantic" vs person swooning over her with too much effort, making her feel "okay does this guy REALLY want me or is he putting on a show... and does he think this is some kind of fairytale if so??"

idk, kinda hard to explain, Micah hits that sweet spot where he's obvious, but also just genuinely likes to hang out with her too. Wont be too handsy / keeps a proper distance as she adjusts to him, etc. Ofc he's riddled with red flags and to naive little Jenny, a lot of the red flags are more charming and funny to her / things she's not taking very seriously (like him trying not to be obvious about wanting to fuck her, but definitely is doing most of this at first because he just wants to fuck her, and she can tell), but.. that's her.

With women, it's a little different? She's a lot more loose / her tastes in women are a lot more diverse than with men. She leans more towards independent women kinda on her level like Charlotte, Abigail, Karen, etc. Especially women she can vibe with, with her more offensive leaning humor + girls who aren't afraid to have to take care of shit on their own if they have to, but I really think she'd adapt to a lot of different personality types there.. like a more skittish lass leaning on her could also appeal to her and make her feel stronger via being depended on.

And in general, she likes older people.
