i've never run a zine before so i could definitely be missing something, but why can't the zine run without 40 participants? also if the participant threshold meets the bare minimum, does that mean everyone will be accepted?
Considering the max amount (13 artists, 13 writers, 13 Spot Artists) would land us at 39 Contributors, 40 seems like the bare minimum that could be asked for. If the bare minimum is met, yes, potentially everyone will be accepted, but it also means accepting styles/pieces that wouldn't have fit into the Zine. Not to mention, we would have absolutely no pinch hitters in case someone were to drop out. That is why 40+ applicants are needed. Thank you!
