Any sort of systematic oppression wouldn't function if it wasn't accepted as the default. Women wouldn't have been died the right to vote or have their own bank accounts if them being too stupid and emotional to handle the responsibility of those things wasn't seen as objective reality, or gay ppl being forced into psychiatric treatment or chemically castrated if heterosexual attraction being the only natural form of romantic/sexual relationships wasn't seen as objective reality.
