This isn't rude to ask at all, no worries! I'm not ashamed of or trying to hide my inspirations at all.

Deadwaters started off as "East Park", which was a roleswap AU, but then as I started to fine tune what aspects of the story I wanted to focus on and figure out its own style and identity, it became its own thing. Specially when thinking about these characters in the future and their teenage / adult arcs is when it really started becoming different. I tag my posts with both "Deadwaters" and "East Park" simply because most people are familiar with EP. ( I made a post announcing the name change on my Toyhouse, but I know most people here aren't familiar with it. )

Here's an image showing Second's design evolution through the years I made a while back. I think you can kinda see where the "South Park"-isms stopped showing up ( I hope, at least ). That also happened personality wise too - I think if you're a South Park fan, you can still see where some ideas / traits came from, but there's stuff that's totally new and out of nowhere. Second's love for halloween and horror makes no sense if you're looking at him as "roleswap Kyle" because neither Kyle nor Kenny ever showed interest for it, it just kinda happened naturally, you know?

There's also other towns in my story besides Deadwaters, and new characters that aren't based off anyone in SP specifically, but those never do too well when I post about them on this account, so I ussually don't LOL.
