Do you study chinese or you are native speaker? Do you have any tips on learning chinese?

i’m a native speaker! my grandparents grew up in china so i learnt it from young alongside english. (but i don’t have much chances to speak it on an everyday basis which is why i set my phone language to chinese lol) hmm tips on learning chinese… not sure if i’m the best person to ask but 😅 if you’re a complete beginner maybe you can start out by buying one of those 笔画 exercise books so you can learn the strokes and then start writing diff characters (i’ve seen people say chinese characters are like drawings HAHA). make sure to get your 4 tones right or else you might risk calling a horse (马 mǎ) your mother (妈 mā) (sorry bad joke) and if you’ve alr been learning for some time there’s this app i really like called pleco. it’s like a chinese dictionary and you can even search up words by writing them so it’s very useful
