getting in on the angst "he def would’ve been able to see his face as a kid" tbf it was maybe implied by baby noises in the cinematics that he was there since baby age potentially. I do think he saw his face before too but we don't really know enough to assume that he did

yes!!! i do think qAsh was born into the federation, so he definitely would’ve been able to see his face as a kid, i’m sure they had mirrors there or something.
