I think the issue is that Taehyun ended up in the wrong group with the wrong members and, most importantly, the wrong fandom
:O just cuz he uses ai???
Because he doesn't fit in. The others have more overlap in their personalities and interests. They draw in fans that vibe with that. The issue is many of these fans see Taehyun as a blemish ruining their otherwise perfect group. He hasn't done anything bad himself, so they can't be overly open about it but they make it clear with how they treat him. Leaving him out of edits completely or making edits of him being left out by the members. That's just moas showing how they feel personally. They don't like him and think he should be left out. Moas lying in wait and not even mentioning his name until an opportunity to jump him over doing something wrong comes. That's why 4/5 members can mention AI but fans can only recall it with him and react viciously to it. All that while knowing it's generally popular and positively viewed in SK.
I've been here since the beginning. While things have changed somewhat, I'll always remember those original conversations and how they shaped the fandom. Normalizing a 4 vs 1 mentality with Taehyun mostly being the one separated. F vs T, written by and man v written by a woman, girl dad vs boy dad, and all these omegeverse convos should be lighthearted but they unfortunately reveal a lot.
A different group with members who were more like him would have saved him from being othered and made his entire career easier. Better group relationships and more understanding from fans. I can think of several groups he could have flourished in. It really is a shame.
