ok i will be honest my jmrn f1 au is a substanceless pwp but in typical me fashion i have thought extensively about the lore. i’m not intending jmrn to map onto specific drivers/ships so unfortunately no baku 2017 equivalent (although i do think a similar headloss incident will happen in the future!) since i’m aiming for more of a Nothing Where There Should Be Something type dynamic where they are rarely actually racing each other on-track and haven’t been in a title fight yet due to various external circumstances eg car is shit, despite having a lengthy history together as former prema teammates in f2 and generally competing against each other through karting and feeder series so they imagine they could be having great w2w. pretty much none of this is relevant to the fic though. but it’s super motivating to know i will have an audience for this one :’) i’m working on some unethical wag yuri rn lol but after that i will get back in the mines for you and i hope you will enjoy!!
