this is definitely an unpopular opinion but i really dont believe furina to be as good of a character as the fandom makes her out to be. fontaine act v was good with her story arc and presentation but she has stagnated much like neuvi she has to be redeemed for me to actually think better of her. im not one to think that characters have to be extremely lore relevant or present in the main story to be considered good obviously but even her casual appearances are boring and it pains me as someone that was her no.1 fan. what does she even do at this point
honestly i agree....... back in early 4.x i was very enthusiastic abt her (both as a character in general and more objectively abt her writing) but like. idk. looking back even her writing in the fontaine AQ wasn't all that strong (could yap about it if anyone gaf) but it had emotional impact at least. nowadays they gave up completely. the only archon that's in a worse spot than her is ei which is DIRE imo. like yes she is now a "normal" human. yes she's more of a commoner. no i don't mind that she's not fighting phanes or whatever. but can she get anything meaningful at all? many characters who aren't lore relevant get fun stuff but all she does in her two (? appeareances is hover in the background with a camera......................... lmao. the last time any of her screentime felt worth anything at all was when she went to liyue for lantern rite three years ago
