yeah it's very unfortunate because of the effects of it. it's a common theme that predominantly white spaces are more likely to fester racism and dismiss it/normalize it/act like it's ok (not that non white people don't do it too 💀 but yeah in mostly white spaces it's more common)

and not to ramble but i think the reason proship spaces can be so racist isn't only because they're predominantly white but also because some proshippers in general act like they get a free pass to be racist sometimes and they refuse to acknowledge these racist tropes to begin with and the underlying issue (again not all are like this but it's a VERY common problem 😭)
