Hi there! Sorry for the long message, but back in October 2025 (I remember it well because that’s when you posted the last chapter of "The Bereavement & Phantasy"), I asked for a recommendation based on your great taste—something to watch or read. You recommended "Twin Peaks". I watched it but never got around to thanking you, so here I am. It is SO GOOD, AAAAAA. I watched the whole thing, though unfortunately, I couldn't find "The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer" for sale where I live—but never mind that.
The vibe is fantastic, and I fell in love with Dale. Audrey is incredibly magnetic, too. Since I think you're too sweet to judge me, I’ll admit that I ship the two of them—I’m not sure why, exactly, but I can't help it. So, finally getting to the question: I wanted to know your thoughts on everything—on Laura (since you read the book), the characters you love, and whether you ship any of them (I’d never judge you for it).
P.S. I’m sorry if this sounds rude—I don't mean to pressure you—but I also wanted to know if you plan to update the fic or if you're focused on another project. I don't have X (Twitter), but do you think it would be worth getting an account to keep up with you better? Or is there somewhere else where you're active?
I would never judge for that ship especially because they are my Twin Peaks OTP!!!! I LOVE THEM. It was beautifully done how they didn't become a thing and makes sense for the meaning behind TP and Cooper as a character especially. But I can dream...they make me feel safe. Also I believe the book is online for free too! I think the Internet Archive has it but it should be accessible somewhere if your able to scour online a bit. (Spoilers for the book & show) But I genuinely love everything about it. I think whats special to me is its weirdness feels normal to me and makes me feel seen. The energy in it reminds me of a lot of what ive been through. That grief, dealing with men, and growing up as a girl. Its hard to pick a favorite but I particularly love Cooper because he just feels so safe, the kind of guy I would feel comfortable to be around no matter what. I really love Laura too, I relate to a lot of them but especially Laura with her trauma, how she see's and feels about men. Laura embodies so much, too much, and she really stands out as a character who was abused. As in, she wasn't the "perfect victim" type that a lot people tend to write. But a lot of her "problems" are a result of childhood abuse, and it really resonates with me. I ship Cooper and Audrey, love Laura and donna too :]
I still plan to update it! I have been in one of my phases where Im not in the writing groove, but I have had parts of another chapter written. I think my next chapter will be the Phantasy AU I have been sharing, I am very into that lately and wanted to write some AU chapters for it!! Twitter is the best and what I use the most but its up to you! I am just not really active anywhere else. 😞 I also only share lore writing drabbles on twitter too...
