They are like samekichi and sal to me... with lyon around you'll start thinking maybe ryder is a good guy with how foul Lyon is. For the brief time Lyon is stranded in Frostnock after being temporarily exiled (again) as prince of the nation, he tries to bum in Ryders house a lot. Even disregarding Lyon's connection to Nokota, Ryder would still despise that man. Yet at the same time Lyon is the only outsider who has gotten so close to Ryder for many, many years. Although its mostly unwillingly its a still a feat in itself. There is angst with them in that Lyon knew Mathilde's real persona all along while Ryder was pulled on the strings with her. Of course Lyon nudges anything thatll rile Ryder up. Ryder wants to control his anger issues, but its very hard around Lyon. He has much less grace controlling it vs with Nokota lets just say.... in yaoi land Lyon teases Ryder for being motherly, and Lyon is very much deadbeat dad type
