I legitimately didn’t tune into the game at all, than I found out the score was 3:2 bc of Steve dangle which ended up going into overtime like ..?? Are we being fucking stupid here again after winning a couple of games.
I HAVEN'T yet, but it's definitely in my watchlist ! ^_^ I just have yet to find the motivation to read the book since I'm a huge nerd for over-analyzing complex characters; although some western /american heated rivalry fans truly make me think about how badly they're being xenophobic to ilya which pisses me off (cultural differences in russia, also with the fact his English is very limited when it's coming to vocabulary, i have alot of reasons.. okay) which i talked about w/ a friend of mine from Europe; Enough about that mess, he's also getting into the show over Christmas break so kinda neat to have a yapping buddy.
I don't see the appeal in Sidovi, I'm so sorry, how do people like that pairing regardless of the rivalry and chemistry.

HEYYY <3 askdajd- rookie x vet has gotten me through some tough times icl 😭 like matt martin getting mad at babs on behalf of mitchy (and then eventually getting traded and stuff but we don't talk ab that) changed something inside of me and i think i've been searching for that high ever since. rookie x rookie is so intriguing esp will the emergence of willmack + bedsy/nazar (even if bedz isn't an actual rookie anymore). the rookie x rookie one is a more recent development for me but it's smth i absolutely need more of. 1634 (as rookie x rookie) were so so important to me but most of the characterization on like ao3 and tumblr feels wrong to me so i never got to go down that hole 😔 (but 3416 + demar/kyle (raptors) just itched smth so right in my brain during the 2016-18 era). styles and chief is one i found through my friend (who found it through her moot on tumblr) and now that i'm paying attention to it i can't stop. like wdym broadcasters are straight up going "willy and berube have an effective relationship" after berube put him on the third line is wild work (aka me reading too much into stuff 😭)
i was so upset, mostly for hildeby bcz the giant goalie played soooo good. also i was annoyed with all the sharks fans going like "he's too big to be a goalie, that's cheating" HE CAN'T HELP IT-- anyways here's to hoping they can actually survive against cm97 and the oilers tn (come to toronto cm97, your hometown misses you)
oh yesss- watched the first episode and then immediately BINGED the books (not the whole series, just the main books)- when i tell you both of those boys are just so so important and special and complex and reading the books + watching how hudcon bring the characters to life + portray it is sooo cool. imo, ep 4 (which just came out) was deliciousssss. the last five minutes had me fucked up for like a whole day. also the xenophobia towards ilya is def strong (i think ep 4 has switched it a bit ngl) bcz as a character, he's just got this crazy cocky front and i think we see the deeper side of him more in this latest episode and i'm just so happy ppl are liking him once more. shane's character's getting some hate now (😭😭) which sucks, but like he's so deeply repressed y'all need to realize that. but i'm like glad the show itself is addressing him being asian, it's soo important + kinda overlooked in the books. but like also i'm glad ppl are loving it more than hating it. it's nice to see my canadian tax dollars go to this (makes me feel lowkey patriotic).
YES- SIDOVI DOES NOT CUT IT FOR ME- i'm sorry maybe it's bcz sidgeno was what i read first and i lowkey dislike the caps very much, but sidovi is fake. FAKE. i don't see it. also yes yes- sid, geno, tanger - i love em. i rarely get into 3-way ships, but this is one i can get behind. like imagine breaking a record for how long you've been playing together, not even how long your careers have been alone, just how long you've been together- FSJHDKJGSH. will never not get to me. (lowkey same, sidney crosby is my glorious king and i've literally gotten into the pens as side team bcz of him).
BENNY YES GOD- since the moment we got benny and called him up, he has been my ride or die. the milk man. he's so like quebecois- there's smth ab him that makes me so deeply endeared (i need to invest in a benny jersey but i'm broke asf rn). bobby mcmann is also def up there for me- idk he's just so cool it's so crazy to see him evolve since we got him. dude bring up these guys whenever i love them all.
