I've written a lot of outlines and ideas that I've never published, usually just to get something out of my head and put it away into a folder to revisit later. Most of these just stay as outlines, but I occasionally dip back in and develop those into full stories. If I start a draft of something, I usually finish and publish it in some form, especially if I get more than a third of the way through the outline.
