I think the different duos now are more to follow the arc more? America arc has been having a heavy emphasis on blood relatives vs RW which had the emphasis on choosing your family (like how Nagi and Taiga aren’t An’s blood relatives but they’re still her Aunt and Uncle. And also how Vivid street treats everyone as family despite yknow not being blood). Also unrelated but everyone will lose rush beats because Touno will come out on stage just like Dan and Phil and profess his love for Souma (again) and they will go to Echo fes together TRUST
that’s a good read…! cuz it’s an interesting interplay with the an/touya foil as well (family vs chosen + being born into music) like. yea embers has the family bond with each other but they’re very much like vbs in how RADder looked after them too vs illys having such a strained relationship with their bio father & them being mainly tied to touya + an respectively. i see…
