ok see i think part of what has made the joker so utterly swagless is over representation. sure he has always been a somewhat central figure in the bat comics as one of his more well known rogues but- ah i struggle to figure out if i am talking out my ass or not when i speak. basically i think it could have happened to ANY rogue really, but that it just so happened to be the joker that ended up getting this slow degradation because he happened to just be the easiest one. i think it is also a consequence of forcing him to slowly be something he was not necessarily ever meant to be?...

anyways the joker's key to not being such a swagless little shmuck piece of shit is to just. disappear for a while. not to make room for a new BIGGEST BAD but to make room for just, literally any other kind of story? with any other character?

i cannot really think of much that was genuinely new or interesting done with the joker past the somewhat clunky movie that was made with mr.phoenix- which i can appreciate somewhat for its attempt to do something with a character who has kind of been driven into the ground. i do not know how popular that opinion is but whatever.

as for the lego batman movie i would not know i have no watched it i have not had much inclination to watch it though i figure some day i may sit down and do so.
