usually i would go with my usual answer of leopard seal but i think the hawaiian and mediterranean monk seal BOTH deserve more recognition as being the only two tropical earless seals that have survived into this century!! very good seals, excellent creatures. i am glad that the hawaiian monk seal has had fairly good luck in recovering its numbers in the wild with a little help and hope some day that their european cousins may have the same luck
