hi! this is a great question- unfortunately not very well 😭 i’m a researcher and a full time student, so something is always getting neglected in order for me to do something else lol i spend a lot of time writing when i should be doing other things. but, i try to never let my desire to write interfere with my work so i just completely compartmentalize it for those hours. i don’t even really want to daydream about writing while im working because then i’ll get inspired and want to drop everything for yeonbin fanfic 😭 but to make up for the fact that i can’t multitask, i write pretty late into the night most days, and then use when im trying to fall asleep to plan. that way i know exactly what im working on the next day! these days, i don’t set any expectations for myself regarding word count or page goals because it’s too overwhelming with everything else i have going on. instead, i just work little by little whenever i have the time. like today i had work at 11 this morning and so i used 8-10 for schoolwork and 10-11 for writing. i think bouncing around between things helps me avoid burnout ><~ sorry i realize this is kind of boring, but my main point is that when you have a really busy schedule, setting strict rules for your creativity time can sometimes be counterproductive and it’s okay to be a little loose and adaptable with your time if it helps your process 💓
