hellow jar!! love ur fics more <3 as for writing inspo, i think i draw a lot of inspiration from music—a lot of the time it's the lyrics and/or the atmosphere that becomes the driving force behind whatever fic i'm writing. for eg with 'headway' i'd just stumbled across ethel cain's album and 'waco, texas' was really what gave birth to the idea, so much so that the working title was 'odessa, tx' until i changed it last min lol. a verse i really liked and that helped me in my characterisation of c in the fic was "Love is not enough in this world / But I still believe in Nebraska dreamin' / 'Cause I'd rather die / Than be anything but your girl"

i do also draw a lot of inspo from movies i'm watching/books i'm writing at the moment. been trying to get back into reading this year and atm i've loved reading works by joan didion and yiyun li. and also one of my fav poets is mary oliver—her descriptions of nature have always evoked something within me, and i suppose that bleeds into my own writing as well at times!
