ooooh man I'm sorry I'm not sure I have a good answer for this!! for me it really comes naturally, it's partially my attention span for sure, like I definitely get hardcore into a particular ship (dunkbaelor for akotsk) but rarely does that stop me from shipping them with other people too, even if that's endgame....also, especially because of targ incest (but this also applied to Sinners too tbh) I generally see most of the relationships as all happening at the same time. like Dunk is fucking Baelor but that's also not stopping Baelor from fucking Maekar or Valarr and it's certainly not stopping Aerion from raping Dunk. i just get a lot out of all of the possibilities. being just into one ship is great too! love when you can dedicate all your energy to it, yk. but I can't imagine only focusing on one, it feels too restrictive! but that's just how my brain works, it's ok if it doesn't work for you! I simply have no loyalty for any ship LMAO
