what is something that annoys you about j.ai?

what DOESNT annoy me about jai /silly. serious answer tho, i think the main thing is the users. and i say that as a user (altho now i use sillytavern for chatting which is a far better experience than anything janitor will offer, i still use jai to look for bots and st cards from creators). i might be a little biased because ive gotten the chance to talk with some of my favorite creators on the platform who have all been lovely people, and whenever i join a new creator server i occasionally get a little "omg hi lav" from them which is very cute.

i dont wish to sound like a snob or anything, but there are a lot of jai users who are so entitled and downright incompetent it makes me wonder if they are actually adults. i see many users complain about how "oh its all slop" but then refuse to branch outside of the trending page and look for small creators (and i will admit its tough to grow on jai unless you make connections with other people because of the lack of algorithm janitor has. and i will say i also rarely branched out of trending until i started joining creator servers and looking at bot promo posts for new bots that would be more my taste.) do people even know you can block and follow tags so you can customize what you see on following and trending? or i will see users who complain about their llms and proxies acting funky but then refuse to learn how to tailor llms to suit their needs. janitor does lack a lot of functions that would make it the best frontend for certain llms, but theres still enough settings that you can learn about and then customize your experience to get the best roleplay you can have.

and i think in the most obvious case (for me) is the css stealers or people who are desperate for free css. i know people complain about how many creators create a kofi and lock content behind a paywall, but this is common in other creative hobby spaces. is it really any different from selling art comms or giving early access to new chapters of your original writing? as long as youre not selling something completely ai generated (because then its not copyrighted) i PERSONALLY, IN MY OPINION, do not really care. if youre selling alternate intro character cards with human written personalities and intro messages, go for it. if youre selling css profiles that you wrote, go for it. but when i see people being like "hey can you make xyz profile for me for free" and then its something complex, i cant help but be like "do you understand the time and effort that it takes to do something like that?" its more so the refusal to learn that irritates me more than anything, especially since css is so accessible and relatively easily to learn with numerous resources. hell, ive had people learn from my templates even tho they werent meant as guides.

overall, its very easy to tell when users are tiktok brained or havent been on the internet for very long, because if they acted the way they do in other spaces, these users would be ridiculed and promptly kicked out. thank you darling for letting me rant a bit even if its incoherent rambling.
