Depends, is it in a town/city? Or in a random place?
I adore the look of cities at night. The buildings with lit windows and lamps near the sidewalk, it feels like home. A nice mix of lighting and darkness.
As for being in the middle of nowhere with absolutely 0 source of light, I would surely be afraid.
