Not a phase; rather I have attempted to dip my toe in periodically. While I do enjoy the creative freedom on display I sadly can't handle the artificial voices for very long. My Vocaloid format of choice outside of covers is Project Sekai versions because the synth voices are more of a fun cameo.
I do love the characters aesthetically though, and own a handful of Vocaloid figurines.
