i feel more neutral towards Pearline. Her pale, pale moon performance is too captivating for me to slander her but in general I dont feel touched with the canon ships. they're all het and problematic in ways i dont care much (Annie being the perfect all understanding patient wife of Smoke who bailed on her for years would piss me off if I think about it for too long) and Stack/Mary just dont strike anything in me. always roll my eyes whenever a het ship puts the woman (FORCES) the woman to be in excessively understanding, doting position.
Pearline being cougar is actually more interesting to think about but canon het ships in general are never able to make me feel anything remotely as intense as my non-canon ships.
Sinners having freaky characters are par for the course, but i do understand treating canon ships differently than non-canon especially in a movie with this far-reaching audience. i guess i can't dislike pearline/sammie more because of irony; they used to be the getcha ship to throw sammick shippers off but now they're revealed to be problematic as well, it just tickles me lol

God those nurses SUCK! im so sorry and angry for you and your parent, anon. It's not fair that we got treated like idiots and got exploitated/disrespected by health workers just bc they have the control and upper hand in this dynamic. Like im always grateful that i still have national healthcare to fall back to but it still comes from our taxes and yet some nurses/medical workers act like we're pest when we're asking for more clarity or for help. Not to mention the way our (caregivers) effort and sacrifice tend to get overlooked or even expected by doctors, nurses and families alike.. It's horrible. I grind out art so often even when I feel souls-sucked or exhausted bc I refuse to disappear to this caregiving task completely. I hope you also do this little "rebellious" thing in daily basis anon!

i was a BIG fan of OP! my fav is Luffy and im a huge Zoro x Luffy shipper (thanks to live action OP for making them so explicit lol) but Usopp is such a cutie and too relatable not to love. SanUso is super underrated ship imo but Im glad to see at least pretty fanart of our slingshot sniper. Oda drew him with his hair down in one of chapter covers and he looks SO pretty...

I fell of at Sanji's family feud (post timeskip OP is really hard to follow for me and felt too much like lore and exposition dump with no room to breathe) but i still think OP's worldbuilding as one of the best out there in any media. CP9 and Robin's arc still tugged at my heartstring, there's also the anti-establishment + anti-imperialist ideas in OP's general principle that I absolutely love and rarely seen in stories. OP is one of my biggest creative inspiration tbh!

US has been a blight on other non-western countries and they consistently destroy and destablize foreign governments for completely insane reasons, making these countries hell on earth, then turn around blaming the people there for "reacting negatively" (aka "why dont you just die and diseappear quietly so I can go continue killing, pillaging, raping and exploiting your lives while playing victims and woe us poor veterans in our multi-millions propaganda"). Not just US of course, most western powers are equally guilty... these colonizer countries never pay for their crimes and continue to leech while claiming they're more just and civilized then their proclaimed subjects so they can justify destroying lives. Hell, even my country that got colonized by Dutch for hundreds of years ended up destroying and colonizing other countries too (Timor Leste, and still ongoing, West Papua). Like a fucking curse or abyss that keeps consuming and consuming with no regards of human lives.

In my honest opinion, every bad fucking thing in the world is literally connected to and caused by imperialism. The effect of WW2-period colonialism that most western powers want to bury and ask us to forgive and forget, the exploitation and damage rooted from there are still happening till this day. the insanely skewed power imbalance between "first" and "third" world countries aren't natural, they're manmade- they're the direct result of modern colonialism. Even principally and mentally, we all got affected by this shit. with the televised genocide happening in palestine. in Congo, Sudan, and how injustices are grinding lives left and right... I would think you (hypotethical you) are a scum of the earth for not hating colonialism/imperialism. we dont hate these shit ENOUGH... and even tho i cant go protests bc of my situation, the least i can do is be aware, boycott brands in BDS list, and be informed with how things are going rn.

we're basically religion cousins so i'd wager we are feeling very similarly if you can relate to my rant. it's painful sometimes to be this disillusioned and still has to mingle with religious people, family/and friends and still have act like everything's okay. it's harder in my caregiving situation bc my mom in her desperation to treat herself asked me to go to non-medical treatments, and these places are where these kind of conservative people are concentrated. these religious grifters target vulnerable, sick people the most, shamelessly selling health while avoiding responsibilities for their acts ("only god can heal you and im just his servant" or what the fuck ever) and i have nothing but hatred towards them.
organized religions are so damaging i agree. i hope we can still be steadfast and hold true to our own humanity even when we have to live covertly, anon ♥
