came here after a long long time, and i have some things to say:
1st of all, i think dr really get back "officially" and to me "should be" is about that! is dh's fave song of his album and it feels so personal + the fact that he participated in the lyrics makes it more special. i said an oomf one day that dh leaves traces of rj in his songs and most of the fans (obviously non-drist) don't notice it, i find that so romatic 💕 idk if someome already talked about it but in my drist circle there's this theory about key being a great help to them 🤭 yk that he's close to rj and he was there for him during kwontaegi era. it's interesting how hc got close to rj friends that he met trough key 👀
2nd of all, now i get your point when you said that dr changed. idk how to explain it but it definitely has changed a bit this year. i feel like their break up healed so many parts of their relationship that weren't clear before and were hurting both of them. their connection feels more mature now and also more natural and lovely, full of confidence.
3rd of all, my friend told me some weeks ago that mk was like a distractor in dr dynamic and it ended with him being shipped with rj + pushing mh again and it kinda makes senses, but i saw a anon someone sent some weeks ago and anon is also right, mk felt a bit protective over rj being with hc and that attracts my atention. when i look back to 2020 content i can only notice how jhn and pjs were kinda aware of whatever they had at the time, everybody else didn't understand it but where there asking and being like intermediates which messed them up. idk what's really clear for me is that jhn and js definitely know everything since the very beginning
I enjoyed this omg thank u for sharing your thoughts. my friend also has a nice theory about mark being protective of renjun (bc of his experience with haechan) back in 2020. I can really see mark being apprehensive about dongren’s friendship. I also love what you said about key! And you can really see it in how dr interacted with the shinee guys when they visited their dressing room in that behind cam. There’s something very couple-y about the way haechan socializes with rj’s friends and vise versa. It’s giving… entanglement. Truthfully I’m still on the fence about should be. Bc I think hc could have been inspired by his feelings and his thoughts about rj but I ultimately think he writes from a place of like “what is music supposed to be about?” And “what ideas do I wanna put forward in this album.” I say that bc he hasn’t said the lyrics are personal to him yet and I feel like if they WERE, he’d be pretty vocal about it. That said! I like to believe that, in a more unconscious way, his past with renjun is something that informed his artistry. I know that’s crazy but fuck it , I believe it!!!
I definitely believe that the 127 guys new something was up with dh and rj. I’m curious about your reasoning for jisung knowing 🫣
